Who may be suitable?
Aligners can address selected alignment problems, including some crowding and spacing. Complex movements or jaw-related concerns may need another approach or additional techniques. An orthodontic assessment should compare the available options.
How treatment works
Custom trays are produced from records of your teeth. You move through the sequence as directed, with checks to monitor progress. Consistent wear is essential; remove and clean them according to your clinician’s instructions.
Daily care and retainers
Keep your teeth clean before reinserting aligners and follow the recommended cleaning method for the trays. After active treatment, retainers are needed to help maintain the corrected position. Ask about the long-term retention plan.
Before you commit
Ask how progress is reviewed, what happens if trays stop fitting and whether additional trays or retainers are included in the fee. Tell the clinician about any difficulty following the wear schedule rather than advancing trays on your own.
Common questions
Are aligners completely invisible?
They are clear and less conspicuous than some braces, but they can still be visible. Discuss appearance as part of your expectations.
What if an aligner does not fit?
Contact the treating clinician for advice. Do not force a poorly fitting tray or change the treatment sequence yourself.
How online consultation can help
Use our consultation form to describe your concern, share relevant photographs and upload an optional report. After payment verification, Dr. Hiren Tandel reviews your request and contacts you about next steps. In-person examination may be needed before diagnosis or treatment planning.
This page provides general education, not a diagnosis or personalised treatment plan. For difficulty breathing or swallowing, seek urgent medical care instead of waiting for an online reply.
